Question :
Hi.

Do the sword and shield from P&D give +1 to attack and defence in normal combat, or do they only provide their special abilities?

The sword DragonSlayer give a +4 bonus in attack only when you fight a Dragon.
It doesn't give any bonus when fighting any other character.

The Fire Shield doesn't give any bonus against nobody, it protect against the Dragon's Fire Breath, the Falling Rocks and the Fireball Wand.
